At least two people have died and 12 others have been injured in a mass shooting in Montgomery, Alabama, CBS News reported on Sunday.
The incident occurred in a neighborhood where several groups began shooting each other with guns in a crowded area.
Montgomery Police Chief James Graboys announced at a press conference that the victims are a 17-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman. He said five of the injured were hospitalized with serious life-threatening injuries, and the other seven have injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
All of the injured are younger than 20 years old.
"Here were two parties involved who were practically shooting at each other in the middle of a crowd," he said.

Graboys added that investigators were reviewing evidence and interviewing potential suspects, although no one had been charged as of Sunday morning.
"We will do everything we need to collect every piece of evidence to prosecute whoever is involved," he added.
