Great Britain: Russian soldiers are suffering from non-payment and corruption among commanders

British intelligence announced that Russian troops are continuing to suffer from a lack of morale and discipline in fighting against Ukraine. Great Britain, in the daily report, said on Sunday that among the complaints of Russian soldiers are also problems with salaries.

"In the Russian army, the troops' income consists of a modest basic salary, consisting of allowances and bonuses. In Ukraine, there are likely to have been major problems with the withholding of significant war rewards," the report said.

British intelligence pointed out that this problem could be due to inefficient bureaucracy, the unusual legal status of the "special military operation" and "some corruption among the commanders".

“The Russian military has failed to provide basic rights to troops deployed in Ukraine, including proper uniforms, weapons and rations, as well as pay. This has almost certainly contributed to the fragile morale of much of the force," it added.
