President Joe Biden is "optimistic" about his Democratic Party's chances in the critical Nov. 8 midterm elections, telling reporters, "We're going to win this time." Biden made the comments as he left California for Chicago, at the height of a three-state campaign in four days.
Speaking to reporters on the runway before boarding Air Force One, Biden said: "I feel very good about our chances." In all 50 US states, Tuesday's midterm elections will determine the balance of power in Washington and state capitals across the country.
His predecessor, former President Donald Trump, will hold his final campaign rally in Ohio. As he prepares for another run for the White House, Ohio holds special significance for the former president because it was one of the first places where he was able to prove his staying power among Republican voters.
