President Joe Biden canceled funds for the construction of the wall on the border between the US and Mexico, in the developed budget for 2022, including those already approved by the Trump administration for the construction of the work and still unused.
The stated goal of the Biden administration is to fight the root causes of immigration, not discourage it through crackdowns.
Thus, the American president has requested 1,2 billion dollars for border security.
Overall, the proposed move would cost more than $1,5 billion.
