Entire villages of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar have been destroyed and replaced with army barracks, government buildings and refugee camps, the BBC reports.
On a government tour, the BBC said it has seen four sites where such buildings have been built, while satellite images show they were Rohingya Muslim settlements.
Officials denied that the constructions were done in the villages of the Rakhine region.
In 2017, over 700,000 Rohingya fled Myanmar - also known as Burma - due to a military operation.
In fact, the United Nations has described the exodus as a "handbook for ethnic cleansing."
Buddhist-majority Myanmar continues to deny that its troops have carried out ethnic cleansing.
He now says he is willing to accept some refugees.

But last month, a second attempt to repatriate some Rohingya refugees from Bangladesh failed, as none of the 3,450 people approved by Myanmar returned.
They cited as reasons the lack of responsibility for the atrocities committed in 2017 and uncertainties about whether they will have freedom of movement or citizenship.
Myanmar blamed Bangladesh and said it was ready to accept large numbers of returnees. To demonstrate this, he invited journalists, including the BBC, to see the refugee facilities.
