Kazakhstan's Central Bank invests 350 million euros in cryptocurrencies

The Central Bank of Kazakhstan has allocated a budget of about 350 million euros to invest in cryptocurrencies, Governor Timur Suleimanov announced on Friday.

"We are currently developing a list of instruments in which we will invest. This does not only include cryptocurrencies," Suleimanov said at a press conference, adding that investments will be made in technology companies related to cryptocurrencies and digital financial assets.

These investments are expected to begin in the April-May period.

As of February 1, the bank's reserves were $69.4 billion. The assets of the National Fund of Kazakhstan are $65.23 billion.
