German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock has called for the protection of shared global values at a time when the basic rules of coexistence are being broken in conflicts such as the war in Ukraine and the Israel-Hamas war.
Baerbock was speaking at a foreign policy conference in Berlin on Tuesday.
"There is a readiness to break the basic rules of our coexistence, with barbaric terror, as in the case of Hamas, with a vile attack on a neighbor, as in the case of Russia. It seems that there is a common denominator between these actors: the expectation that there is no international order, in which the violation of the rules is sanctioned", said Baerbock.
