The President of the USA, Joe Biden, will host the German Chancellor Angela Merkel for a visit at the White House next month, the White House has announced.
This will be her first visit to Washington during the Biden presidency and also her last visit to the US as chancellor.
Merkel is not seeking a fifth term in the elections that will take place in Germany in September of this year. She has worked with four American presidents during her terms.
The White House has announced that Merkel will visit on July 15, while a large number of issues are expected to be discussed between her and Biden.
