Adolf Hitler had a genetic disorder that prevented the development of his sexual organs, a new DNA analysis has revealed. "Independent".
The Nazi dictator had Kallmann syndrome, which affected the normal progression of puberty and suggests he had difficulty establishing sexual relations.
The findings are revealed in the Channel 4 documentary "Hitler's DNA: A Dictator's Plan", which will be broadcast in a few days.
The documentary also debunks myths that Hitler had Jewish ancestry and provides evidence that he probably had one or more neurodiverse or mental health issues.
Scientists were able to construct a DNA profile from a sample of blood-stained clothing that a US Army colonel had cut from the sofa where Hitler committed suicide in 1945.
"It came to my mind. But it was going to be done at some point and we wanted to make sure it was done in an extremely measured and rigorous way," said Professor Turi King, the lead researcher on the Hitler DNA analysis.
