Thailand's Constitutional Court has dismissed Prime Minister Srettha Thavis after he appointed a former lawyer who was once imprisoned to his cabinet, reports "BBC".
The court ruled that Srettha had violated the "rules of ethics" by "displaying his defiant behavior".
The 62-year-old, who has been in power for less than a year, is the third prime minister in 16 years to be dismissed by Thailand's constitution.
He will be replaced by an interim leader until Thailand's Parliament elects a new prime minister.
