Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has resigned and left the country on Monday, Reuters reports.
She resigned after one of the deadliest protests in the South Asian country, local media reported.
At least 90 people were killed in Bangladesh on Sunday as police clashed with anti-government protesters.
13 police officers were among the dead, after thousands of protesters attacked a police station, the law enforcement authorities announced.
Protests in Bangladesh have continued for weeks, with protesters initially calling for the abolition of quotas on civil service jobs - but later turning to calls for the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
At least 10 people have been arrested from these clashes, including opposition supporters and students.
