US President Joe Biden will visit Paris on June 8, where he will meet with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, the Elysee Palace announced on Thursday.

This will be Biden's first state visit to France, Reuters reports.

The meeting will follow Biden's participation in the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Normandy landings on June 6.

The two presidents will discuss continued support for Ukraine, as well as ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in economic, space and nuclear issues, the French presidency said in a statement.
