At least 28 people have died and 20 others have been injured as a result of a traffic accident in Pakistan.

The media reports that a bus with passengers which was moving at high speed fell off a highway into a rocky valley.

The incident happened on Wednesday morning in the southwest of Pakistan.

The police official, Asghar Ali, said that the driver had lost control of the bus in Washuk town, while traveling towards Turbat. According to authorities, the driver is among the dead.

The police transported the injured to the hospital, while some of them are reported to be in serious condition. 

Road accidents are frequent in Pakistan when traffic rules and safety standards are rarely followed, even on the roughest roads. 

The latest accident occurred three days after 13 members of a family died in a collision between a truck and a van in the eastern province of Punjab.
