The number of people killed in Rafah rises to 22

Gaza

The number of people killed in the southern Gaza city of Rafah by Israeli attacks has reached 22.

Among the dead are 18 children, health officials said on Sunday, AP reports.

This attack has come at a time when the United States of America is close to approving aid worth billions of dollars to its ally.

Israel has carried out almost daily airstrikes in Rafah, where more than half of Gaza's 2.3 million people have sought refuge from the fighting. He has also vowed to expand the ground offensive in the city on the border with Egypt, despite international calls for restraint, including from the US.
