Trepça's dramatic victory in "Minatori"

Trepça has won another match in the final playoff series of the Kosovo basketball elite against Baksimi.

Trepça won with a score of 93:83 in front of their passionate fans, who were in large numbers at the “Minatori” gym in Mitrovica. Over 3000 fans were present for this match. 

Trepça now has a 2:0 lead in the final playoff series, while the matches are now moved to Prizren, namely at the "Sezai Surroi" gym. 

The first match ended with a score of 94:79, while the third duel of the final will be played on Sunday at 19:30. 
Trepça won the first quarter with a score of 23:20. 

As the second period began, Bashkimi returned to the game, even taking a 27:23 lead. 

Three minutes before the end of the first half, the score was 39:38. From that moment, Trepça's breakthrough began, which went into the break with a 13-point lead, 53:40. 

The Union led by Montenegrin coach Igor Jovović narrowed the lead again to three points, 57:54, in the third period. 

But by the end of this period, coach Adis Beqiragić's team applied strong defense and efficient offense to enter the final quarter with a score of 70:62. 

The final period was also level. With one minute left in the game, the score was 88:83. 

But by the end of the match, Bashkimi did not score any more points, failing in its attempts, until Kenneth Hasbrouck and Akili Vining scored the winning points. 

Viking had the best statistics in the Trepça victory with 26 points, three rebounds and one assist, while Hasbrouck scored 18 points, four rebounds and three assists. 

Shanon Shorter had another good game for Bashkimi with 20 points, two rebounds and an assist, but in the final stages of the game he suffered an injury and left the court. 

Jalen Riley scored 22 points, but had many inaccurate shots. 

To remain in contention for their second title in history, Bashkimi must win their next two home games. Bashkimi won its only title in 2018. Meanwhile, Trepça is a six-time Kosovo champion. It has been dominant in recent years in Kosovo basketball.


Trepça ends the first half with a lead over Union

Trepça and Bashkimi played a very strong match in the second half of the Kosovo basketball elite playoff final. 

But Trepça went into the break with a 13-point lead. 

Trepça is winning 53:40 against Başkimi, while they managed to break away in the last seconds.  
The Mitrovica team won the first final 94:79. 

The "Minatori" gym in Mitrovica is packed. Over 3000 spectators are present.
