Sigal Prishtina wins the second game of the semifinal series

(Updated) - Sigal Prishtina won the second game of the playoff semi-final against Trepca on Wednesday night with a score of 90:83, after five minutes of overtime. The regular time of the dramatic match, which took place at the Palace of Youth and Sports in Prishtina, ended in a draw of 77:77.

But in the five-minute overtime, Prishtina emerged victorious and thus tied the playoff semifinal series 1:1.  

Pristina lost the first semifinal match on Saturday at the packed "Minatori" gym in Mitrovica with a score of 80:65, but on Wednesday they won against Trepca.

Trepça won the first quarter 23:13, while losing the second quarter 23:18 and the third 2014, as well as the five-minute overtime 13:6. The fourth quarter went to Trepça 22:21. But in the end, Prishtina won the match by seven points.

The match was very competitive on the court. 

For Sigal Prishtina, Jordan Davis stood out with 23 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Rashid Mahalbashiq scored 15 points, nine rebounds and three assists, while captain Fisnik Rugova and Donat Clark scored seven points each. 

Tekele Cotton was the best for Trepça with 19 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.

Mikaile Tmushiq scored 17 points and had five rebounds. Sammy Hunter had six points, three rebounds and two assists.

Sigal Prishtina, which finished third in the regular season, reached the semifinals after defeating Vëllaznimi 2:1. Meanwhile, Trepça was second and started the playoff race from the semifinals. 

Trepca had lost three of the four championship matches of the current edition to Sigal Prishtina. The third match will be played in Mitrovica on Saturday.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, the second semifinal match between Peja and Bashkimi will take place. The match will be played at “Karagaçi” in Peja. The Prizren team convincingly won the first semifinal of the Kosovo Super League basketball playoffs. On Sunday at “Sezai Surroi”, Bashkimi defeated Peja with the score 81:61. 

Bashkimi finished the regular season in first place and was free in the quarterfinals. Meanwhile, in the quarterfinals of the playoffs, Peja eliminated the team from Suhareka, Golden Eagle Ylli. Against Ylli, Peja won with a score of 2:1, although Suhareka had the advantage of home field.

Three wins are needed to advance to the finals.


The second semi-final between Prishtina and Trepça goes to extra time
