Kosovo's basketball champion, Trepça, has started its title defense with a very difficult victory.
Trepça defeated Rahovec 029 on Saturday night at the "Mizahir Isma" gym with a score of 106:101.
It was a very difficult victory for the club from Mitrovica.
Trepça started the first quarter better, winning 29:21. The second quarter ended tied 26:26.
Trepca ended the first half with an eight-point lead, 55:47.
Rahovec 029 reacted in the third quarter, winning with the score 29:21.
But Trepça's basketball players did not allow for surprises and in the end they won the last quarter with a score of 30:25.
The most efficient player for Trepça was Ja'cori Payne with 25 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.
Matt Mobbley also stood out with 22 points, two rebounds and three assists.
The good play of Samit Zekiqi, who recorded 30 points and four rebounds, was not enough for Rahovec 029.
Mika Adams had 19 points, five rebounds and six assists.
