The star wins the dramatic game, ties the score in the final series

Golden Eagle Ylli has survived a Trepça offensive in the fourth quarter to win the second game of the final playoff series in the Kosovo Super League in basketball. The result is now 1:1, while the team that scores three wins is declared champion.

On Sunday afternoon in Suharekë, Ylli won the very dramatic match against Trepça with a maximum close result, 80:79.

In the last second, Devonte Upson of Trepca had the shot for three points, namely for victory. But Upson was not correct and the party fell to the locals. 3 seconds before the end, Jan Palokaj of Yllit missed two free throws to keep Trepca in the game for the last action.

Ylli dominated the first three quarters and entered the fourth quarter with an advantage of 19 points, 60:41. Then there was a lead of 21 points, 62:41.

But the people of Mitrovica, inspired by Mikaile Tmusić, made a series of 10:0 and got closer to 62:51. Trepca's dramatic comeback continued. 1:55 minutes before the end, Trepca came within just one point, 72:71. Alonzo Verge Jr. then made two free throws for 74:71. Jalen Nesbitt added two points for 76:71 and then scored for 78:71. Tmushiq scored another triple, 41 seconds before the end for 78:74.

37 seconds before the end, Verge Jr of Yllit and Kevin Capers of Trepca were disqualified due to a collision. They continued the fight on the way to the locker room and this brought more tension in the gym and a break of about ten minutes.   

The game continued and Nesbitt made two free throws for 80:74. But the drama was not over. 23 seconds before the end, Upson narrowed the score to 80:76. Dejuan Graff of Yllit lost the ball in the following action and Tmusić made another triple for 80:79. This happened 14 seconds before the end. Then Palokaj was fouled and missed both shots and Upson was completely inaccurate at the end. So Ylli won the match with great luck, dominating it for three quarters.

Jalen Nesbitt was the best for the Stars with 14 points, ten rebounds and three assists. Verge Jr. had 27 points, three rebounds and four assists. Natte Grimes had 11 points and seven rebounds, while Palokaj scored 13 points.

Tmushiq was the best in Trepça with 17 points, three rebounds and three assists. Upson finished the game with 11 points and six rebounds, while Edge had 12 points, six rebounds and five assists.

The third match of the final series takes place on Thursday at the "Minatori" gym in Mitrovica.

In Suhareka, the atmosphere was fiery, while half of the fans were from Mitrovica and supported Trepca.
