In October, Jaguar sold 1200 copies of the I-Pace crossover, which is the best monthly sales of this model since its launch in the spring.
For comparison, in August, only 140 units of the I-Pace model were sold, reports KosovaPress.
Jaguar joined the automakers this year with electric models. The electric I-Pace proved to be a competitor to premium brands from Germany - Mercedes EQC, Audi E-Tron and electric BMW iX3.
However, the fight for consumers was not easy, so in the summer months of 2018 monthly sales reached only a few hundred vehicles, to increase in September to over 700 cars sold. However, a huge increase was recorded in October - for the first time in a month, over 1,000 cars were delivered to first-time customers, so the overall sales in 2018 increased to 2,468 units of the I-Pace model.
In October, Jaguar sold 13.764 cars worldwide (all models), with sales increasing at an annual rate of 11.6%, meaning the I-Pace is most deserving of the increase in sales volume.
Jaguar I-Pace uses a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 90 kWh, and according to factory data, the maximum driving range varies from 386 to 480 km. On the other hand, the independent American agency EPA has estimated the maximum radius of movement at 354 km.

The Jaguar I-Pace is powered by two electric motors - each on a single drive shaft - with a combined output of 400 horsepower. Power is transferred to all axles. The drag coefficient is 0.29, and the manufacturer says the I-Pace accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds.
While the large electric models of the German trio Mercedes, Audi, BMW do not come to the market, practically the only real rival of the Jaguar I-Pace will be the Tesla Model X.
