German carmaker Mercedes-Benz has warned of another wave of recalls after Germany's transport authority KBA has deemed tampering devices installed in some of the maker's vehicles unacceptable, Reuters reported on Sunday.
It is about three devices found in cars manufactured according to the Euro 6 standard and related to harmful gas emissions from gasoline or diesel vehicles.
Mercedes-Benz has been forced to take corrective action or face an order to recall these cars based on a ruling by the European Court of Justice that deemed such devices illegal under certain driving conditions.
The car manufacturer has managed to postpone the date longer since it was planned to identify the number of affected cars by July 27 and to address the issue.
