Mazda packs the MX-5 with muscle

Mazda has decided to give its flagship car, the Mazda MX-5, which has sold more than a million units since 1989, a little makeover, making it more "muscular".

A slightly wider design than the original makes it look more powerful, but there are no changes to the engine, reports tch.

The new Mazda MX-5 will go on sale for 22000 euros.

The Japanese brand aims to sell around 550 units.
