Mazda seems to be getting ready for the launch of the new version of the Toyota Yaris model, which seems to be the replacement of the Mazda 2.
Although there is nothing official yet, the company is said to be getting ready for the launch.
The new car will be part of a long-term partnership with Toyota that will see collaboration on everything from autonomous technology to electric cars.
During a presentation to investors in November last year, Mazda announced that it will launch models based on the Yaris platform from 2022.
In June this year, Mazda announced that it will launch 13 new electric cars by 2025, divided into five plug-in hybrid, five hybrid and three electric models. The same report confirms that hybrids will have the same technology as the Prius and Yaris.
The new Mazda 2 model is expected to have a 1.5-liter gasoline-hybrid engine with 114 horsepower.
