Land Rover has launched a longer variant of its Range Rover Evoque compact SUV in China.
The Range Rover Evoque L has increased rear legroom by 125 mm and offers an electrically adjustable rear seat to allow passengers to stretch out, according to the brand's consumer website.
Long car versions of global models are popular in China, where many buyers there prefer more space in the back seats.
The Jaguar brand of Jaguar Land Rover sells only such versions of the XE and XF sedans in the market, and in the main segments, Peugeot in China builds and sells the 508L, an enlarged version of the mid-size sedan sold in Europe.
The new L version of the Evoque is set to replace the regular version, local media reports said. It remains a five-seater.
The Evoque was JLR's second best-selling domestically produced model, with 3.642 sales in China behind the Land Rover Discovery Sport with 5.641 units, according to company figures for the quarter ending June 30.

The new Evoque L is 4531mm long, compared to 4371mm for the standard version. This model will cost 67 thousand dollars.
The new model is not expected to be sold in Europe.
