Jaguar Land Rover will reduce production capacity by 25% over five years

British carmaker Jaguar Land Rover will reduce its production capacity by 25% over five years under new chief executive Thierry Bollore.

The company's new plan includes making the Jaguar brand all-electric within four years, while the Land Rover sports car could have room to take off, Bloomberg reports.

On Saturday, Jaguar Land Rover revealed that it has cut production to 400.000 cars a year from 600.000.

The automaker will introduce six fully electric Land Rover variants over the next five years.

By 2030, it expects all its Jaguar models and 60% of Land Rovers sold to be electric.
