US automaker Ford will recall about 413 SUVs in the United States due to a defect that could lead to loss of steering control, the US highway safety regulator announced on Tuesday, Reuters reported.
According to NHTSA, 412,774 units of the Ford Explorer model are being recalled due to a problem with components that can crack or break, increasing the risk of losing steering control and, consequently, the possibility of accidents.
The regulator has recommended that the problematic parts be replaced free of charge for all affected vehicles, as a corrective measure to ensure the safety of drivers and passengers.
Through an announcement, Ford announced that it will recall another 40,655 vehicles in the US due to battery failures and brake pedal defects.
