The fourth generation of the Citroën C3 model has switched to a fully electric car. After selling more than 5.6 million units of the C3 model with internal combustion engines, the French manufacturer introduced the all-electric model e-C3 for the European market.
Sales of the Citroën e-C3 will start next year at a price of 23.300 euros, but in 2025 an even more affordable entry-level model is expected, which could become one of the most affordable electric cars on the Old Continent. .
Based on the Stellantis electric car platform, the model comes with a completely new design compared to its predecessor.
Visually, the front part stands out the most, where the new Citroën logo is located, surrounded by two lights in the shape of the letter "C".
However, the most important changes are "under the skin". The SUS engines have been replaced by a fully electric car. The Citroën e-C3 uses a 44 kWh LFP battery that provides a range of up to 320 kilometers. The car is powered by an electric motor mounted on the front axle, which develops 113 HP. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes about 11 seconds. The battery is charged from 20 to 80 percent capacity via the 7 kW charger in about four hours.

Citroën will sell the new e-C3 with two equipment packages, You and Max. The base model will have LED lights, emergency braking system, head-up display, electric side mirrors, rear parking sensors. Those opting for the Max package will also get a set of 43cm wheels, automatic wipers, electric and heated mirrors, automatic air conditioning, a wireless charger and more.
The initial price is 23.300 euros, but in 2025 a model with enough batteries for a distance of 200 kilometers will appear, which will cost 19.990 euros. Thus, the e-C3 will become one of the most affordable electric cars in Europe.
