British luxury car manufacturer Aston Martin has unveiled the fastest car it has ever produced at an event in Venice, Italy. The new Vanquish reaches a top speed of 345 kilometers per hour and as a bonus for petrol lovers, there are no electric or hybrid versions. Aston Martin's "Vanquish" car is the fastest produced by the British luxury car firm and is the firm's new flagship model.

Global media have seen the unveiling of the new "Vanquish" in the Italian city of Venice. The car reaches speeds of up to 345 kilometers per hour, writes the "AP" agency.

The car has an all-new 5.2-liter 12-cylinder engine with impressive performance figures.

“So this is the most iconic car for our product line. With a 12-cylinder engine, 830 horsepower, fantastic design, and low volume. So we will produce less than 1000 units per year. And plus in strong collaboration with our Formula 1 team, offering impressive driving dynamics and adrenaline while driving," said Marco Mattiacci, global head of the brand.

In the offices of Car magazine in the United Kingdom, there is a lot of noise about the new car. The news is at the top of the front page on the Internet and news from the iconic British car manufacturer always piques readers' interest.

Perhaps one of the most surprising things about the Vanquish is the lack of an electric or hybrid option.
But Aston Martin still uses traditional petrol power and the big V12 engine.

According to Tim Pollard, editorial director of "Car" magazine, there are very few cars that are launched these days without some electrification and hybridization. So it is quite a traditional car from Aston Martin.

Aston Martin is partnering with Lucid Motors, a California company, to create a range of electric cars over the next few years.

The popularity of SUVs these days means that the company's best-selling vehicle is the DBX.

But the Vanquish was never about high volume. On the contrary, its rarity will increase interests among owners looking for something unique and unusual.

The new Vanquish will remain quite rare on the road. That's probably because it will cost up to £350.

One person who knows a lot about driving fast cars is former Formula 1 champion Fernando Alonso, in fact, the Vanquish might look a bit plain compared to the Aston Martin Formula 1 car he drives.

He attended the launch because there has been collaboration between Formula 1 technology and the team that is making the cars at a factory in Warwickshire, England.

"What we have now, I think, is the continuation of the work to develop Formula 1 cars, from the Aston Martin team. Continuation of all technology, all experiments. And we use this technology in the road car. Sometimes it's for safety, sometimes for performance. And most of the time it's about fuel efficiency and reliability," Alonso said.

Aston Martin's new Vanquish joins the DB12 and Vantage in the sports car lineup.
