Tesla temporarily lowers prices for some cars in the US

US automaker Tesla has temporarily cut the prices of some of its Model Y cars in the United States until February 28, less than a month since the company cut Model Y prices in Germany, Reuters reported on Monday.

Tesla has dropped prices for the Model Y by $1,000, representing a 2 percent discount from previous prices.

Prices of the Model Y Performance variant and other models remained unchanged, according to the website.

Prices of the new model will be discounted until February 29, Tesla said in an announcement on its website, adding that the price will increase by $1,000 or more from March 1.
