The Volkswagen Group in America has signed an agreement with the Croatian car company, Rimac, to import and distribute the brand's cars in the United States. Sascha Doering, who is chief operating officer at Buggati America, has expanded the role to include Rimac.
The agreement was signed earlier in September, but now it has been announced by Volkswagen. The companies plan a network for the sale of Croatian cars in the USA.
"For both brands, Bugatti and Rimac, the US is the strongest market in the world, so it is important that we provide a sales experience that matches our wonderful cars that we offer to customers," said Mate Rimac, Chief Executive Officer. of Bugatti Rimacut.
The Volkswagen Group in America has previously sold Bugatti cars in the US. That changed when Bugatti joined Rimacut.
The Bugatti Rimac merger took place in 2021. The company's offices are in Croatia. Bugatti production meanwhile continues in France. Porsche owns 45 percent of the company and 24 percent of Rimacut.
