Abdixiku: Kosovo should not be a collective hostage to a political madness

Descriptive Text

The chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lumir Abdixhiku, said that Kosovo should not be a collective hostage "of a populist political madness", announcing that on Wednesday he gathered the leadership structures of the five branches of the party.

He wrote on Facebook that Kosovo needs prudent development.

"That this country should not be a collective hostage to a populist political madness that incites only fear, gloom and tension. We need development. We need prudence. We need a Euro-Atlantic journey. Kosovo needs the 'New Road' - the most ambitious political program in the country. In critical political moments, our political activism becomes a necessity. In critical political moments, support for the LDK is a must," said Abdixhiku.

According to him, the growth of the LDK and its good works "has put the opponents in front". He also mentioned the governance of Përparim Rama in Pristina.

"Obviously, our unity, our growth, the good work we do, put our opponents in front of us. There they all unite against us; like now, like they always did. There, they test the trust of the capital's voters for the LDK, snatch it from the table. What they do not understand is that the time of such a policy has ended! We will not let them make this policy a model in Pristina", wrote the deputy of the opposition party.

Regarding the meeting with the structures, the head of the LDK added that they have gathered for a broad party organization.

The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) accused the Kurti Government on Wednesday of breaking relations with its allies.

The head of this party, Ramush Haradinaj, has said that the Government is giving the country a dangerous direction.
