Serbian List officials denounced for financial abuse

Former Deputy Minister for Communities and Returns, Radoica Radomirović, has filed a criminal complaint against officials of the Serbian List in the Municipality of Leposavic. According to him, the officials of the Serbian List are suspected of misappropriating millions in this municipality.

With a series of accusations against municipal officials from the Serbian List, former Deputy Minister for Communities and Returns, Radoica Radomirović, approached the North Mitrovica District Court on Friday.

He has filed a criminal complaint against municipal officials on suspicion of the following criminal offenses: "Conflict of interest", "Embezzlement in office", "Fraud in office", and "Forgery of official document".

Radomirović believes that they are misusing financial resources in the Municipality of Leposavic.

"Today I will file a criminal complaint for about 1 million euros that were misused in the Municipality of Leposavic. It concerns projects that were financed simultaneously from the budget of Serbia and the budget of Kosovo. I want to emphasize that this is just one of the lawsuits, and several more will follow," he said.

Radomirović said that no Serb has responded to this invitation to file this criminal report, except for the civic initiative Equality and National Justice from Štrpce.

"This is also an invitation for institutions to be involved in this part of the work so that those responsible from the Municipality of Leposavic face justice. This has to do with the theft of several million euros and misuse of funds only in the municipalities in the north of Kosovo," he emphasized.

Radomirović said that officials of the Leposavic Municipality should be held criminally accountable for financial misappropriations.
