Zeqiri: The explosion happened in the backyard of my best colleague from the Serbian community

The mayor of the municipality of Zubin-Potoku, Izmir Zeqiri, has announced that the person in whose house a vehicle exploded on Wednesday, is his colleague in the municipality and comes from the Serbian community. 

In a direct link to "60 Minutes" of KTV, Zeqiri said that he is not aware if the case is related to the threats he himself received from a person days ago, however, no one was injured in the case of the explosion. 

"It's true (the explosion of fire in the yard of a house), it's with one of my assistants and the best collaborator I have from the Serbian majority side. He was attacked last night with a bomb near his house, there is damage to the car and the windows of the house. It is an attack that causes material damage, but no personal injuries," he said. 

Zeqiri has added that such attacks on certain individuals are insidious, but he hopes that soon the case will be illuminated as a whole. 

While talking about the death threats he received from a person two days ago, Zeqiri said that he is not afraid and work in the municipality continues normally. 

"I don't know this person, I only know his address that I have read and I believe it is still functional. This person threatened me three months ago, sometime on May 31, and two nights ago the same person made a death threat to me through a status. It says that there is a person named Stefan Marko, an officer in the MUP of Serbia, he completed the high school of state security in Belgrade, lives in Belgrade and is engaged somewhere in Northern Mitrovica as a police officer. The first time, but also the second time, this case has been reported to the investigative bodies. There is sufficient security everywhere in the municipality, even if these cases are happening to be afraid does not come into consideration, the work continues from my side and my staff", he said.
