The Minister of Health of Kosovo, Armend Zemaj, has announced a visit soon to the North of Mitrovica.
When asked by journalists when his visit to the North will be, Zemaj answered: "Soon".
Zemaj visited the Regional Hospital of Mitrovica where a conference was held during which the new cases of COVID-19 in Kosovo were announced.
"Now not only has the fight against COVID-19 become a priority, but we are doing everything to increase capacities. We are committed to ensure that this hospital provides health services for patients from Mitrovica, Vushtrri, Skenderaj, who do not need to go to Pristina for treatment. After the pandemic is over, the focus will be on the decentralization of health services and regional hospitals in Kosovo. With this, we help the residents and give the KKUK the opportunity to be discharged", said Zemaj, who delivered an ambulance to the Mitrovica Hospital, a donation from the EU.
