Notice of the VV:

The leadership of the VETËVENDOSJE! Movement held an extraordinary meeting tonight.

It was concluded that we are at a crucial moment to give the country institutional stability after the June 7 elections and to prevent another round of elections, unnecessary for the state and citizens and costly for the future budget. The repeated early elections would be the fourth in less than two years!

The constitutive session is scheduled to continue tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. We have been and are ready to vote for deputy speaker of the assembly from the ranks of the PDK and LDK someone who does not boycott the election of the president and thus send us to a repeat of the elections.

Despite this, the LVV leadership decided that tomorrow we will vote for the PDK and LDK candidates, Vlora Çitaku and Kujtim Shala. We expect that after the constitution of the assembly, this step of goodwill will reflect in their constructiveness by voting for the president, even if it is a vote against.

In 2025, we, as the winning party with our pre-election coalition partners and minority MPs, had 57 MPs. So, only four MPs short, and by implementing the Constitutional Court's ruling, we changed the name of our candidate for Speaker of the Assembly four times before Dimal Basha was elected on August 26, five months after the certification of the results of the February 9 elections. The opposition parties' rejection of Albulena Haxhiu at that time was also followed by the rejection of Donika Gërvalla, Hekuran Murat and Arbërie Nagavci.

Well, we have decided to vote for Vlora Çitaku and Kujtim Shala, even if they don't change the names of the candidates like we did.

Tomorrow morning, as soon as PDK deputies re-nominate Vlora Çitaku (who already has two options), we will vote for her.

We also hope that MP Kujtim Shala, the future deputy speaker of the assembly, will participate in the session when Bekim Sejdiu will be voted on as president according to the LVV-LDK agreement.
