Vučić: Serbian Army Chief and KFOR Commander Had the Worst Conversation So Far

Aleksandar Vuiqi.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has said that the Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Army, Milan Mojsilović, had a conversation with the Commander of KFOR, Ozkan Ulutaš, which he described as "the worst conversation" that Mojsilović has had with him so far.

He made these comments when asked if he had spoken to General Mojsilovic after his meeting with the KFOR commander. Vučić had announced on Monday that Mojsilovic would discuss with Ulutaš the KFOR decision to reduce the permanent presence at the main bridge over the Ibar River in Mitrovica.

"Mojsilović talked to the KFOR people, to Commander Ulutaš, a Turk, who said: 'No problem, the so-called Kosovo Police will work together with us...'. Really, no problem? Okay, now we understand why you did everything you did in 1999. We understand everything and there is no big philosophy, everything is fine," Vučić said.

According to him, from this conversation, Serbia now knows "who it is dealing with."

"Just stop pretending that you are there for some kind of dialogue or anything else, because you are not in favor of dialogue," the Serbian president added, RTRS reports.

Vučić also commented on the European Commission's reactions regarding his statements on the possibility of changing the flow of the Ibar River.

"Everything was done so that we could fulfill it, so that they could fulfill that obligation. They did not fulfill it and they do not even think of fulfilling it. And they say that they do not think of doing it. Meanwhile, you give them everything else just because you want to remove and expel Serbia from Kosovo," Vučić said.

On Monday, KFOR announced that it has begun the gradual process of withdrawing its permanent presence from the main bridge over the Ibar River in Mitrovica. Kosovo Police vehicles are now also visible there.
