Vuçiqi on the messages of the USA and the EU: It is not easy to talk about Kosovo with those who know it

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, commenting on the messages that the emissaries of the United States of America and the European Union have given after their recent visits to Kosovo and Serbia, said that there are no easy talks about Kosovo with those who know it as state.

For several days, Kosovo and Serbia were visited by the EU emissary for dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, and the American emissary for the Balkans, Gabriel Escobar. They said that they made the visit to convey the message of coordination on the issue of dialogue.

While Escobar continued to express the position of the USA that the dialogue should end with mutual recognition, Lajçak insisted on "normalization of relations" and added that "the European formula does not exclude any result".

After the stay in Kosovo, the two also held meetings in Belgrade with the Serbian side. Even in Serbia, they conveyed the message that they share the same vision for the dialogue process and that the efforts are aimed at a comprehensive agreement. Both asked Serbia for constructive dialogue with Kosovo.

Meanwhile, commenting on the messages that Escobar and Lajçak gave during these visits, Vuçiqi said that "there were no big surprises". However, he described the talks as not easy.

"They have told me everything that they have declared publicly. It is not easy for us to have any conversation about Kosovo with those who recognize its independence and emphasize this", he said for "Tanjug" from China.

In China, Vučić met with the President of China, Xi Jinping, for whom he said that Kosovo was also discussed. "We discussed strategic issues, the preservation of territorial integrity and joint support in international institutions and organizations - this is very important for our country because of Kosovo", said Vucic about the meeting with Jinping.
