Vučić on Kosovo: Now we would have what to go to war with, but I don't want war

Aleksandar Vučić announced that he will pay a visit to China, which he described as "the most important in his political career."

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, when asked about Kosovo in an interview with "Informer", stated that today Serbia would have reason to go to war, but stressed that he remains a man committed to peace.

According to him, Serbia today is many times stronger than it was 15 years ago, emphasizing that the country's defense capacities have increased significantly compared to the period of NATO bombing of Yugoslavia in 1999.

"We are much stronger now and that is precisely why no one will attack us, but we must continue to strengthen," he said.

Vučić stressed that the strengthening of the Serbian Army is a result of economic growth and continuous investments in the defense sector. According to him, the country possesses significant amounts of modern weapons and military equipment, adding that Serbia has also obtained advanced weapons from Israel, which has significantly increased combat readiness.

Speaking about Kosovo, he said that it has returned to the negotiating table. However, Vučić underlined that he has no intention of leading the country to war and that he remains committed to peace and development.

"Now we would have what to go to war with, but I don't want war, because I promised the citizens peace," he declared.

Furthermore, he indicated that he will make a visit to China which he considered "the most important in his political career."
