Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has declared that Kosovo is part of Serbia "according to the Constitution and God's justice," calling on young officers of the Serbian Army to defend what he called its "sanctity."
Vučić made these comments on Saturday at the promotion ceremony of the youngest generation of Serbian Army officers.
"What you swore today is to respect the Constitution and preserve the territorial integrity of Serbia. I know what pressures you will face, both you and the political leadership. We have nothing more sacred and important. Kosovo is part of our homeland, part of Serbia, according to the Constitution and according to God's justice. We must remember this and protect it, without touching anyone, without attacking anyone and without threatening anyone, but always being our own," Vučić said, according to "N1".
He also claimed that military alliances against Serbia are being formed in the region, alluding to the agreement between Croatia, Albania and Kosovo.
"We have understood those messages and have begun to provide our army with the best and most modern equipment," said the Serbian president.
