The rapporteur for Kosovo in the European Parliament, Viola von Cramon, says that it is very important for the US to be involved in the dialogue, as it is for stability in the long term.
Von Cramon spoke to "Kosovo Online" after the visit that the EU's special representative for dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, and US Deputy Assistant Secretary Matthew Palmer made to Kosovo and Serbia last week.
"Special Representative Palmer began working under President Trump's administration, but he hopes that he can now continue his work in a way that really helps multicultural cooperation," says Von Cramon. "The European actors certainly appreciate the commitment of American President Joe Biden and yes, the region really needs the support of the USA. The association of Serbian municipalities is certainly one of the questions, but there is so much that the Serbian community could do in this process. I believe that there are other urgent things in the dialogue, but I hope that June will present a new beginning in the process".
