Vlora Spanca is proposed to the Assembly for Auditor General of Kosovo

The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, signed on Thursday the decision by which Vlora Spanca is proposed to the Assembly of Kosovo for the position of Auditor General of the Republic of Kosovo.

As the office of the presidency has announced, Vlora Spanca is an economist and has 13 years of experience in the National Audit Office. During this time, she has held the position of director of the Audit Department, head of the Performance Audit Division, and since 2017, she has held the position of Assistant Auditor General.

In addition to the Interviewing Commission, the candidates for this position were also evaluated by the British company BDO within the recruitment project supported by the British Embassy.

"Spanca has scored high success, ranking as the most valued candidate in this process. It is ranked first in the evaluation of the British company BDO with 33 points, and second in the evaluation of the Evaluation Commission, with 30.4 points. The interview process was also followed by monitors from the media and civil society", the announcement of the presidency states.

Meanwhile, President Osmani has said on this occasion that the society and economy of Kosovo will be better only when the position of women and girls is advanced.

"The professional journey of Mrs. Spain, as well as its performance in this process, are proof of the skill and professionalism of our women. Our society and economy will only be better when the position of women and girls in our country is advanced. Therefore, I encourage women to continue applying for senior management positions so that they are exactly where they deserve," Osmani emphasized.
