This achievement was achieved thanks to the work of the Cultural Association “Iliria München”, which has been supporting and promoting Albanian culture in Bavaria for 25 years. With the support of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania, a group of 40 Albanian members, dressed in traditional costumes from all Albanian regions, represented the cultural heritage with dignity and pride.

The Xhubleta, the iconic Albanian garment with over 4,000-year-old origins and recognized by UNESCO as an asset of the spiritual heritage of humanity, led the Albanian representation at this international event.

Under the Albanian flag, the Consul General of the Republic of Albania in Bavaria, Gentiana Mburimi, dressed in the characteristic costume of Southern women, paraded. Alongside her, under the Kosovo flag, the Consul General of the Republic of Kosovo paraded, in a symbolic moment of cultural unity.

The parade traversed the main streets of the city of Munich with a 7-kilometer route, followed by over 6 million international visitors, as well as thousands of viewers through live television broadcasts in Germany and abroad.

This first presentation at "Oktoberfest" not only strengthened cultural ties with Europe, but also demonstrated to the world the richness, elegance, and antiquity of Albanian heritage.

This is an important step towards the internationalization of Albanian culture, and an invitation for the world to get to know its traditional beauties and values more closely.
