Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti on Friday participated in the laying of the foundation stone of a primary school in North Mitrovica.
After laying the cornerstone, Kurti stated that the school will have modern conditions.
"There will be nine primary school classes and one kindergarten class for children, and there will also be a library, teachers' lounge, offices, and so on, so that the conditions are modern for the best possible teaching and also for learning with the highest standards," said Kurti.
The total construction cost will be around 4 million 152 thousand.
"The works will be completed within 18 months. Which means that we will cut the ribbon for this school in the Bosniak Neighborhood in the spring of 2027. It should be noted that the area of the school will be approximately 2,570 square meters, while 761 square meters will be the nursery for children," said Kurti.
The candidate for mayor of North Mitrovica from LVV and the current mayor, Erden Atiq, also participated in the laying of the cornerstone.
