Professor Sylë Tahirsylaj died on Sunday, his family announced via the social network, Facebook. The family said they will issue a funeral announcement.
"Dear friends, family, we inform you that our father, prof. Dr. Sci. Sylë (Ramë) Tahirsylaj suddenly passed away a few moments ago. We will inform you about the details of the funeral", the announcement states.
Tahirsylaj was born on August 15, 1949 in the village of Isniq in Deçan.
He was a professor at the University of Pristina, at the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine and director of the Kosovo Hydrometeorological Institute (IHMK).
