Abdilaqim Ademi, senior DUI official, died

Last night around midnight, as a result of a serious illness, Abdilaqim Ademi, the general secretary of DUI in Macedonia, died.

Ademi has held important state and party positions, such as deputy prime minister for the implementation of the Ohrid Agreement and minister of the living environment and education. Recently, the cause of treatment with medical therapy was far from the political scene.

Abdilaqim Ademi was born on December 20, 1969 in the village of Shemshovë in Tetovo. He had started his university studies at the Faculty of Mining and Metallurgy, Metallurgy department, in the city of miners in Mitrovica, where he had finished two years and due to violent Serbian measures at the University of Pristina, he was forced to continue his studies at the University Polytechnic of Tirana, where he graduated in July 1996. He then completed his postgraduate studies.

Adam was deputy. Prime Minister for the implementation of the Ohrid Agreement in the Government of Macedonia since 2008, Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning from July 28, 2011 to June 20, 2014 and Minister of Education and Science in the period from June 20, 2014 to January 16, 2016.

The burial ceremony will take place today, February 16 (Friday), after the Friday prayer at the Shemshove village cemetery.
