Dozens of citizens have continued to protest even today in front of the Trepca management facility in Mitrovica, as a sign of dissatisfaction with the latest employment process in this company, even though the competition has already been partially cancelled.
The protesters, citing new facts about the irregularities during the last process of hiring new workers, demanded the complete and partial cancellation of this vacancy.
Arsim Musa, from the protesting organizational council, has informed KosovaPress that it is not enough to correct the competition only partially, saying that it should be canceled completely, as well as the company's board and management should be dismissed.
According to him, the candidates accepted in this competition were typical family and political cases. He has mentioned the names of high officials, whom he said have hired their family members.
"We have persistently requested and request again that this competition be canceled completely, not partially. This competition should be canceled completely, this board should be dismissed together with the management, up to the commissioners who made this typical family and political selection. [...] We have evidence that people close to the board have been employed with contracts twice. On September 23, the contract was issued, on the 24th, the competition was opened, on November 13, he scored 84 points in the test and was employed in the directorate of "Trepça" in Pristina. [...] There are family members, for example Ferat Shala, he hired two people, the secretary Afrim Haxhiu hired his aunt's daughter, the director of the board, Ardian Syla, hired his aunt's daughter", Musa told KosovaPress.
He warned that the protests will continue in the following days, until their demands are fully met.
The hour-long protest was peaceful, with a very small number of police officers observing the situation closely compared to previous protests.
Two days ago, the management of Trepça partially canceled the competition, namely 38 positions out of a total of 220 that were in this competition, after the continuous protests of the dissatisfied who were not accepted in this company due to irregularities.
