Është miratuar unanimisht propozimi i kryebashkiakut Erion Veliaj për shpalljen “Qytetarë Nderi” të Tiranës, katër ish-drejtuesit e Ushtrisë Çlirimtare të Kosovës: Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi dhe Rexhep Selimi.
Veliaj's initiative had previously received unanimous approval from the Artistic-Cultural Commission of the Municipality of Tirana, following the proposal of the Titles Commission, led by historian Pëllumb Xhufi.
The proposal evaluates the contribution of four former KLA leaders to the fight for the liberation of Kosovo, its journey towards freedom and independence, as well as their ties to Tirana and Albania.

Jakup Krasniqi
For his valuable contribution to the Kosovo Liberation War, in its political representation and in Kosovo's journey towards freedom and independence, with the firm support of the US and Euro-Atlantic partners. For his early connection with Tirana, as one of the centers of political and civic support for Kosovo.
Rexhep Selimi
Për kontributin e çmuar në Ushtrinë Çlirimtare të Kosovës dhe në rrugëtimin e Kosovës drejt lirisë e pavarësisë, me mbështetjen e vendosur të SHBA-së dhe partnerëve euroatlantikë. Për lidhjen e veçantë me Tiranën, kryeqytetin që në ditët e luftës qëndroi pranë Kosovës dhe popullit të saj. /TCH
