"The Guardian": The trial against Thaci and others will rewrite history

Hashim Thaci

The prestigious "The Guardian" published an article on Monday about the trial of the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army in The Hague.

In this article it is said that the trial against former president Hashim Thaçi and others will rewrite the history of the war.

In the text published by the British medium, Thaçi was rated as the most outstanding politician of Kosovo.

It shows the chronology of the trial of the four since their arrest more than two years ago, under suspicion of having committed war crimes.

It is further said that this trial is expected to last up to six years.

"The trial, which opened two years after the men surrendered to the court's jurisdiction and is expected to last up to six years, now looks certain to rewrite the history of the conflict," the article said.

"The Guardian" has also mentioned Dick Marty's report that was published in 2010, which alleged serious violations of human rights, including organ trafficking by the KLA, however it is said that the case has continued in court at a pace slow, while allegations of killing the victims and harvesting their organs have disappeared from the proceedings.

On April 3, the trial against the former leaders of the KLA, Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi, began.
