Thaçi leaves for Washington

The President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, after a few days' stay in Europe, has left for Washington.

The reason for this visit has not yet been announced. However, his political advisor, Ardian Arifaj, has confirmed to KOHĆ that Thaçi has traveled to the United States of America.

"The president has left for a visit to the United States of America", Arifaj said briefly to KOĖN, without giving any other details about the visit.

A few days ago, Thaçi requested from Brussels to continue the dialogue process with Serbia.

"Dialogue has no alternative", he wrote on Twitter after the meeting there with the European Union's special emissary for dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak.

Thaçi goes to Washington after three months, when he had returned without arriving there, due to the publication of the indictment by the Office of the Specialized Prosecutor.
