The President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, today starts consultations with the leaders of the political parties about the next steps, after the overthrow of the Government led by Albin Kurti, through a motion of no confidence in the Assembly, last week.
According to Thaçi's office, invitations have been sent to all parliamentary parties and all have accepted the invitation for meetings.
"The invitation has been sent to all parliamentary political subjects, where the leaders of the parliamentary parties have been invited for consultations tomorrow and the day after tomorrow", the President's office said on Wednesday night.
Contrary to the statements given in LVV, acting Prime Minister Kurti has nevertheless confirmed that he will respond to Thaçi's invitation. In the DESKU show on KTV, he said that his confirmation comes with the suggestion of his advisors and that he will go to the meeting as acting prime minister, KOHA reports.
"I will go as prime minister in office to present my position in detail, not considering it as a consultation for the government, since it would be a kind of violation of the Constitution, because we are not in a post-election situation", said Kurti.
According to Thaçi's office, the first meeting will be held today at 10:00 am with Kurti. At 10:30, Thaçi will meet the chairman of the LDK, Isa Mustafa, and at 11:00 the chairman of the PDK, Kadri Veseli.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, President Thaçi will host in separate consultative meetings the chairman of AAK, Ramush Haradinaj, at 10:00, the chairman of Lista Serbe at 10:30, the chairman of Nisma, Fatmir Limaj at 11:00 and the representatives of Group 6 Plus at 11:30.
