The Judicial Council of Kosovo (KGjK), respecting the recommendations of the IKSHP, under the protection measures against the COVID-19 pandemic, emphasizes that work in the courts starts on Monday.
The Judicial Council of Kosovo decided that from June 1, 2020 work will begin in all courts of the Republic of Kosovo, but without the presence of the media and the public, implementing the recommendations of the IKSHP for measures against the COVID-19 virus.
"The members of the KGjK approved the draft proposal for the emergency plan for crisis management prepared by the Commission for the Administration of Courts and the Commission for Normative Issues, the purpose of which is to ensure the smooth running of the work in the Kosovo judicial system, adapting to the circumstances emergency. Also, this Plan can serve as a basic document for crisis management in the future, including other emergency health situations, natural disasters or circumstances of security threats", it is emphasized in the announcement.
During this meeting, the Council approved the notification of the Department of General Administration - SKGjK, for the retirement of three judges, two (2) from the Court of Appeal in Pristina and one (1) in the Basic Court in Prizren- branch in Dragash.
